6) Online Marketing
Facebook Pixel for Creating Custom Audiences with Advanced Matching
Within our online offering, the so-called “Facebook Pixel” of the social network Facebook is used in advanced matching mode, operated by Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”).
Based on the user’s explicit consent, when a user clicks on an advertisement placed by us on Facebook, the URL of our linked page is supplemented by a parameter via the Facebook Pixel. This URL parameter is then stored in the user’s browser via a cookie, which is set by our linked page. This cookie records specific customer data, such as email addresses, which we collect on our website in connection with actions like purchases, account registrations, or sign-ups (advanced matching). The cookie is then read by the Facebook Pixel and enables forwarding of the data, including specific customer data, to Facebook.
Using the Facebook Pixel with advanced matching enables Facebook to identify visitors of our online offering as a target group for displaying ads (so-called “Facebook Ads”). Accordingly, we use the Facebook Pixel with advanced matching to ensure that our Facebook Ads are only shown to users who have expressed an interest in our online offering or who exhibit specific characteristics (e.g., interests determined by visited websites), which we transmit to Facebook (so-called “Custom Audiences”).
This also allows us to evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook Ads for statistical and market research purposes by tracking whether users were redirected to our website after clicking a Facebook ad (so-called “conversion”).
All transmitted data are stored and processed by Facebook, allowing linkage to the respective user profile and use for Facebook’s own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook Data Use Policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). Data may also be transferred by Facebook and its partners to third parties for advertising purposes.
These processing activities are carried out exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.
Consent to the use of the Facebook Pixel may only be declared by users over the age of 13. If you are younger, please ask your legal guardians for permission.
The information generated by Facebook is usually transmitted to a server of Facebook Inc. in the USA and stored there. Facebook Inc. is certified under the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield framework, ensuring compliance with the EU level of data protection.
You may revoke your consent at any time by disabling Facebook Pixel tracking. To do this, you can click the opt-out link provided, which sets an opt-out cookie in your browser. Please note that this cookie only works for this browser and this domain. If you delete your cookies, you must click the link again.
7) Retargeting / Remarketing / Referral Advertising
Google Ads Remarketing
Our website uses Google Ads Remarketing functions to advertise this website in Google search results as well as on third-party websites. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”).
For this purpose, Google sets a cookie in the browser of your device, which automatically enables interest-based advertising by means of a pseudonymous cookie ID and based on the pages you visit. Processing takes place pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website.
Further data processing takes place only if you have consented to Google linking your browsing history with your Google account and using information from your Google account for personalized advertising. If you are logged in to Google while visiting our website, your data will be combined with Google Analytics data to create and define target audiences for cross-device remarketing.
This may result in the transfer of personal data to Google LLC servers in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield framework, which ensures compliance with EU data protection standards. The certificate can be viewed here: https://www.privacyshield.gov/list
You can permanently disable cookie-based advertising by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available here: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/
Alternatively, you can learn more about cookies and manage settings via the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info.
More information on Google Ads and the related privacy policy can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/
If legally required, we will obtain your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.

This website uses a cookie consent tool provided by Usercentrics GmbH, Rosental 4, 80331 Munich, Germany (“Usercentrics”), to obtain effective user consents for cookies and cookie-based applications.
When accessing the site, users are shown a banner where they can provide consent by checking boxes. The tool blocks all non-essential cookies until the user grants consent. For this purpose, certain user information (including IP address) is collected and transmitted to Usercentrics servers.
This processing takes place pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in legally compliant consent management, and additionally pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR due to our legal obligation to ensure consent for non-essential cookies.

This site uses web fonts provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”) for the uniform display of fonts. When accessing a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its cache.
For this, your browser must connect to Google’s servers, which may involve transferring personal data to Google LLC servers in the USA. This informs Google that your IP address accessed our website.
The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our online offers pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your device will be used.
